Mikael Jarnvig is the new Mission East embassador
The Danish weatherman Mikael Jarnvig, known from TV, has agreed to support Mission East's work because he wants to attract attention to some of the world’s forgotten crises.
Mission East has identified the Soru Belt area and Humla and Muga districts as having the most critical needs within the Karnali zone. We hope to find ourselves addressing urgent needs there with new programmes in 2007.

The decade-long conflict between the government and the Maoists in Nepal appears to be over. In November, the two sides signed a peace agreement. An important way to support the peace process is through providing sustainable solutions to the chronic levels of poverty in many parts of Nepal. 
Mission East´s workers with the approval
The approval of the Mission East special ed curricula is a landmark for Armenian children with learning difficulties.
At a reception in Armenia, officially welcoming Managing Director Kim Hartzner to the country, three Armenian ministers expressed their gratitude towards Mission East.

Mission East’s Managing Director is moving to Armenia with his family for a year, to lead our programmes there. Armenia was a ‘pioneer’ country for Mission East, early in the organisation’s history.
On 6th April 2006 Mission East signed an important contract with European Commission's Humanitarian Aid Department (ECHO) for a new project in Tajikistan.
Mission East’s Managing Director, Dr Kim Hartzner, returned last week from a trip to Armenia. While there he participated in a press conference to mark the official launch of a new project supporting the rights of disabled children in Armenia.

Mission East is supporting the International aid organisation Medair to help the survivors from the earthquake in Pakistan.
