Food Security and Livelihoods in Afghanistan

“This is the first time in my life I am producing vegetables, which I never thought I could grow in the long and harsh Afghan winter. Mission East is one of the few international NGOs working in the remote mountain communities of North-Eastern Afghanistan. Since 2001 Mission East has worked in these regions with a continuous focus on providing basic livelihood opportunities for the people in the most marginalised and hard to reach areas.
