Managing Director of Danish Mission East, Kim Hartzner, has seen the great need for help in North Korea. Thousands of children are malnourished and desperately need food aid.

In December 2011, Managing Director Kim Hartzner spent 12 days in North Korea visiting several institutions where Mission East provided food aid. During the visit, Mission East spoke with teachers and health workers, met the children who are benefiting from the food, and closely monitored the details of the food distribution.

Mission East distributed almost 200 tons of food aid to nurseries, kindergartens, orphanages and a hospital in Kangwon Province of Southeast North Korea.
