A tentative peace in Nepal

Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world and this was one reason for the conflict in the country as the Maoists were responding to the lack of development in rural Nepal. With the Maoist’s now in the government the conflict has officially ended.
 
Numerous ethnic tensions
 
Nevertheless the fighting has highlighted numerous ethnic tensions in the country and internal struggles still continue causing sporadic significant unrest in the form "Bhands" (blockades) which seriously disrupt the socio/economic structures of many towns and cities.
