The Asia Network for Sustainable Agriculture and Bio-resources was established to ensure livelihood improvement of forest users while preserving biodiversity in the context of climate change. They have 20 years of experience in supporting NTFP promotion, processing and trade in mountainous regions of Nepal and especially in mid-west region of Karnali.

Since its creation in 1992, ANSAB has deployed action in 21 districts of Nepal to bring more than 100,000 hectares of forest under the improved management of 393 Community Forest User Groups.

In the Karnali, ANSAB is the partner of Mission East to run the project ATIS “Access to Trade, Inclusion and Social Justice” which support a fair NTFP trade and business development in the region.
