Christmas Greeting: Love helps people find a way out of chaos

Kim Hartzner

Managing Director Kim Hartzner sends this Christmas Greeting to Mission East’s friends and partners:

I wish all our supporters, donors and partners a very Merry Christmas!

Together with you, we have once again this year improved the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in need. Equipment for better hygiene and safe storage of water and food have prevented disease among thousands of people who are fleeing wars and disasters. Teaching poor people in remote districts all kinds of subjects from human rights to growing sturdy crops has helped them support themselves and build a future for their children.

All this has only been possible because you have supported our work. Many thanks for doing so!

At this time, our thoughts are with all the people who live in fear and poverty in conflict areas like Aleppo in Syria, Mosul in Iraq, and Kunduz in Afghanistan. We are doing everything we can to help them, and we will continue reaching out to vulnerable people in remote districts in the knowledge that our help lights a candle of hope in the darkness of their suffering.

For this must be the essence of Christmas: Love is transformed into action that helps people find a way out of chaos and into a meaningful future.

May this inspire us all to continue helping poor and persecuted people in the world’s hotspots.

Sending you my loving Christmas Greetings,

Kim Hartzner

M.D. and Managing Director, Mission East
