For several years, Mission East together with its local partner Bridge of Hope have worked to improve inclusive education in Armenia by giving children with disabilities and special educational needs access to quality education on an equal basis with other children. The improved model is currently being implemented in the poor Tavush region at the border with Azerbaijan through a Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs supported project ”Living Together, Learning Together: A Child’s Right To Community-Based IE, in Tavush”. Work is well under way, and Mission East just needed the very last funds to complete the efforts in the region and implement the model in the capital Yerevan and other regions in Armenia.
